BB LUXE RIDE began as academic research into Nigeria’s creative economy, conducted by Babawale and defended in the Department of Economics at the University of Lagos. The research examined barriers that prevent creatives from fully developing and using their talents.
The project grew from a daily SIWES logbook into a study of Nigeria’s and Africa’s creative economies: the barriers creatives face, how ideas can become enterprises, and the economic problems that stand in the way. The Mobile Creative Infrastructure Theory (MCI Theory) proposes that creative infrastructure and tools can be decentralised, made mobile and brought directly to creatives—supporting SELF incubation, experimentation and enterprise development. BB LUXE RIDE translates this idea into a working ecosystem, using a custom-built mauve Volkswagen Vanagon as a moving symbol of SELF incubation and a practical platform for reaching creatives at their doorstep. The thesis was defended before professors in the University of Lagos Department of Economics.
When creative infrastructure becomes mobile rather than fixed, barriers to participation decline while opportunities for cultural production, entrepreneurship, tourism, employment and social engagement increase.
Each component has a distinct role. Together, they create a loop in which ideas can be developed, expressed as tangible products, experienced through art and play, and brought together in a shared destination.

Explore the BB LUXE RIDE world ↗BB LUXE RIDE is Babawale Sholate’s research-led creative ecosystem: a connected world where people can play, explore, create, collect and experience art. It brings mobile creative infrastructure, physical experiences, digital play and designed objects into one evolving platform.
The world connects five revenue-generating arms: Collectibles for wearable and collectible art; Artifact Ride for sculpture and 12-part Danfo comic storytelling; Leisure Ride for digital and physical play; Design Lab for creative production and idea-to-enterprise development; and LA PARADIS / Danfo Yard, the physical destination that brings the system together. Its digital layer invites visitors to explore the world online, discover projects and engage with interactive experiences.

Sole Founder · CEO · COO · Creative Director · Curator
An economist and creative entrepreneur, Babawale Sholate founded BB LUXE RIDE and developed the Mobile Creative Infrastructure Theory that informs its direction. His work connects creative infrastructure, culture, leisure, digital experiences and collectible design in one evolving ecosystem.
BB LUXE RIDE grew from a question about how creative potential can be better supported when resources are scarce. The answer is not only to celebrate creativity, but to build the infrastructure that helps people develop, express, experience and commercialise it.
Start a conversation ↗Economics, engineering and physics education form a multidisciplinary foundation for Babawale’s work in creative entrepreneurship, systems thinking and the development of BB LUXE RIDE.
